Welcome to the website of The Fire Service Preservation Group,(FSPG) East Anglia Branch. This site
has been set up for the enjoyment of fellow fire engine enthusiasts. In this site you will find some
history about the group, how and where to join and many other items of interest.
The FSPG was formed in London in 1968, to cater for those people who wished to help preserve our fire
engine heritage. The group is now nationwide, and branches exist throughout the country.
We, the East Anglia Branch, cover the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk and surrounding areas. Our meetings
are held at various venues throughout the area, please E-mail for details of the next meeting. New
members are always welcome. In addition of course we attend many rallies and other events throughout
the summer season and a calendar of these venues is included in the site. All are welcome to discuss our
hobby with members at any of these events. Many rallies include demonstrations and drills showing fire fighting
from Victorian times up to the present day as well as static
displays.
Another important part of our site is the list of preserved appliances owned by members of the branch
this is now almost complete, but details of one or two of our vehicles are still waiting to go on-line.
Our links pages include contacts with fellow fire enthusiasts throughout the world, from our site you can
link with over 2000 sites of interest.
You will also find a newspage, which contains up to date news from our events and now as a seperate page 'Sales and Wants'.
If you enjoy our site please let us know, in fact we would welcome any comments, preferably constructive, about our site.
